Workshop Organized on FEG-SEM and TEM at SICART dated 23, March, 2018

Numbers of Participants: 24 Academics
The one day workshop organized on FEG-SEM and TEM by SICART on dated 23 March, 2018.
The main focus of the Workshop was on following aspects:
(1) Basic, principle and theory of FEG-SEM and TEM.
(2)Applications of FEG-SEM and TEM in different fields
(3) Operating system of FEG-SEM and TEM

The participants were given practical training on FEG-SEM and TEM by doing testing in their presence and explained the demonstration, sample preparation and working of the instruments by Dr Sanjay Patel and Mr. Vikas Patel. Lecture delivered on TEM by Dr. Dhru Dhanajay , NVPAS and Lecture on SEM by Dr.Ali Aliasgar J Kundawala, IICP, New V V Nagar. All participants were very happy and satisfactory.

Workshop cum Hand on Experience Course Organized on Chromatography Instruments at SICART

Numbers of Participants: 16
The workshops organized for three days Workshop on Experience Course in Chromatographic Methods on HPLC, HPTLC and GC/GC-MS by SICART from date 27-29 July, 2017. The main focus of the Workshop was on following aspects:
(1) Basic theory of HPLC, HPTLC and GC/GC-MS.
(2)Applications of HPLC, HPTLC and GC/GC-MS in different fields
(3) Analysis, Method development and Interpretation of the results.
(4) Operating system of HPLC, HPTLC and GC/GC-MS
The Course consisted of three lecture everyday morning delivered by academia and company. Practical training was given by Dr. M. R. Tiwari and Dr.Gautam R. Chauhan and Mr.Dipen Patel from SICART on instruments during afternoon session everyday.
It covered from basic principle of instruments HPLC, HPTLC and GC, GC-MS to applications. The participants were given practical training on HPLC, HPTLC and GC, GC-MS by doing testing in their presence and explained the software operation and working system and troble shooting of the instruments.
Faculties were drawn from Dr. R. B. Patel and Dr. Dimal Shah from CHARUSET University, Changa and Babaria Institute of Pharmacy , Vadodara. Dr. Sangtia Sukla from L.B. Rao College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Khambhat.
Dr.H. N. Kapse and Dr. Usmangani Challotiya delivered lecture from ISTAR, C V M and I.I.C.P,New V V Nagar on Basic and Applications in GC/GCMS and lecture delivered on HPTLCand its appications .Dr. Rajnikant Maradia delivered on Mass spectrometer, DDU Nadiad. Chromatography and Applications in food technology .All participants were very happy and satisfactory.

Workshop on LC-MS-MS held at SICART on March,28,2018

No of Participants: 28(26;Acadamic ; 02 Industries)
SICART organized one day workshop on LC-MS-MS. On 28 march, 2018 , Participants from academics and industries.
The main objective of the workshop was to expose the participants to Ion trap with Liquid chromatography (LC-MS/MS). Lecture on basic, instrumentation on LC-MS/MS by Dr.Usmangani Challotiya , IICP, New V.V.Nagar and Lecture on method devlopment, Validation by Dr. Pinak Patel,SMT.S. M. Shah college of Pharmacy. LC-MS-MS, ion trap have capable for elucidation, conformation and exact mass determination of chemical and Pharmaceutical field.
The main focus of the workshop will be on the following aspects
• Classification of chromatography
• Basic Principles of LC-MS-MS.
• Applications of Ion trap detector.
The workshop was very informative. Participants were extremely happy and requested us to organize more workshops on different instruments in future.

A day long Workshop on “FT-NMR Spectrometer” at SICART

Numbers of Participants: (Academic: 40)
The workshop organized for one day long workshop on “FT-NMR Spectrometer by SICART on date 12 August, 2017. The main focus of the Workshop was on following aspects:
(1) Basic theory and principle of FT-NMR Spectrometer.
(2) Applications of FT-NMR Spectrometer.
(3) Analysis and Interpretation of the results of Proton NMR and 13C NMR.
(4) Operating system of FT-NMR Spectrometer.
The Course consisted of one lecture in morning delivered by Dr. Pinak Patel from S.M.Shah college , Ahmedabad. It covered from basic principle of instruments FT-NMR Spectrometer and interpritation of compounds. The participants were given practical training on FT-NMR Spectrometer by doing testing in their presence and explained the software operation and working of the instruments.
Practical training was given by Dr. Gautam R. Chauhan on FT-NMR during afternoon session. All participants are very satisfied during workshop.

Training Program Organized on Sophisticated Instruments at SICART

Training Program was organized by SICART during year April 2017 -March 18 on modern analytical techniques. Sophisticated Instruments are a versatile tool among modem analytical methods. They are useful for qualitative and quantitative analysis of volatile and non-volatile compounds, tensile strength and mechanical properties of wires and plastics materials, crystallography and microscopy study of chemical compounds etc.
Looking at the need of bringing development in modern analytical technique to be benefited to students, SICART had organized training program at the center.
Two hundred eighten students from M.Sc Environment Science technology HMIS,Paint surface Technology,Organics chemistry,Industrial chemistry, plastic technology attended training programs.
The main focus of the training was on following aspects:
(1) Basic principle and theory and application of GC/GC-MS, HPLC and FTIR, ICP-OES, FT-NMR ,GPC, DSC/STA etc.
(2) Operating system with software of GC/GC-MS, HPLC and FTIR, ICP-OES, FT-NMR ,GPC, DSC/STA etc.
(3) Analysis, Interpretation,trouble shooting and result discussion of the results. training by Dr.M.R.Tiwari, Dr.G .R.Chauhan, Dr, Mittesh Patel,Ms. Dhanvi Patel, Mr.Dipen patel and Daxa Patel from SICART, Vallabh Vidyanagar, by doing testing of different samples during training and explained the software operation and working of the instruments.
